The overcurrent relays, series DIG, present two independent time operation settings and a residual current independent time operation setting, with individual adjustments. They are intended for the protection of distribution lines, and particularly of trasformer feeders, agaist overloads, short circuits and earth faults. Owing to the band pass filter of the residual current function, they can be employed in the most severe conditions with strong transients and distorted waveforms.
They are suitable as well for insulated neutral as for solidly or impedance earthed systems; they can be connected to a ring type summation transformer or to the common of the phase CT's.
